Welcome to HideMyLens. These terms govern your use of our website and services. By using HideMyLens, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. The service

HideMyLens is a browser-based tool for removing EXIF and other metadata from image files. All photo processing happens in your browser; no image data is transmitted to our servers.

2. Account eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Account security

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for any activity that occurs under your account. Use a strong, unique password. Notify us immediately at support@hidemylens.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Subscription and billing

Pro subscriptions cost $4.99 per month, billed monthly in advance through LemonSqueezy. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings or LemonSqueezy customer portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time, except where required by law.

5. Refund policy

If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using Pro features, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a refund review. Refunds are issued at our discretion.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use HideMyLens to strip metadata from photos you do not have the legal right to modify.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
• Circumvent rate limits, quotas, or access controls.
• Use the service for any illegal purpose or to facilitate illegal activity.

7. Intellectual property

HideMyLens and its logo, branding, and original content are protected by copyright and trademark law. Your photos and the stripped versions remain entirely your property — we claim no rights over them.

8. No warranty

HideMyLens is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. While we design our metadata stripping to be thorough, we cannot guarantee that every possible metadata field in every possible format is removed. For legally sensitive use cases, verify the cleaned file with independent tools.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HideMyLens and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability in any matter relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced via email (if you have an account) and reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
